Clear Water Zen Calendar
Sesshin

September 23, 2021
Because these are not normal times, this will not be a traditional sesshin. But I think the schedule promises a wonderful opportunity to extend time on the cushion and deepen the practice.
Some specifics:
* Roshi Lawson Sachter is not coming down from Windhorse, but will give Teisho and Dokusan via video link on Friday and Saturday.
* The Center will not be providing meals. Participants must bring whatever they want to eat throughout their attendance. We have a fully stocked kitchen with dishes, cups, glasses and cutlery, and a stove, refrigerator, oven and microwave. Water and tea will be available.
* No one will be able to stay overnight unless prior arrangement can be made and is approved.
* The hourly schedule and details look like this (but are, of course, subject to change):
- Thursday: 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Three rounds of zazen. Arrive by 6:15 p.m.
- Friday and Saturday: 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p,m. Zazen, chanting, Teisho and Dokusan each day. Arrive at 8 a.m.
- Sunday: 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Three rounds of zazen. Arrive by 9:15 a.m.
* Work, meal and rest periods will round out the daily schedule.
* The keisaku will be used Friday and Saturday.
* The wearing of masks, whether vaccinated or not, is recommended and social distancing will be practiced.
* People are encouraged to commit to the full weekend, but partial attendance is OK if arranged beforehand.
* The suggested donation is $25 per day for non-members and $20 per day for members.
