Weekly Update June 17
Dear friends,
Life seems to be returning to the normal and the familiar in ways both large and small.
Although I was unable to be there this past Sunday, the center welcomed the return of several longtime members who had not attended in the past year or so, as well as a first-time visitor who sat all three rounds and left with a copy of Roshi Kapleau’s “The Three Pillars of Zen.”
And, after sitting, some folks even lingered briefly, gathering in the backroom to socialize and catch up with each other.
I hope that the open house and potluck luncheon scheduled for July 11 will continue this natural movement toward conviviality and connectiveness. It should be a happy gathering and, If memory serves, some Sangha members are wonderful cooks. Past potlucks have been delicious.
At any rate, I hope to see you this coming Sunday.
With hands palm to palm,
Jeff
