Sesshin and Virtual Teishos From Roshi Lawson
Dear friends,
The CWZC board met this past Sunday and here are some updates:
During our upcoming sesshin (Sept. 23-26), Roshi will be “zooming in” for Teisho at 9:15 a.m. on Friday amd Saturday, and for Dokusan on both Friday and Saturday afternoons. What a great opportunity to sit locally and still be taught and inspired from hundreds of miles away!
Thursday evening, September 23rd, will begin with a traditional tea ceremony at 6:30pm and then sitting for two rounds of zazen. Friday and Saturday’s schedule will start at 8:30am and feature lots of sitting in addition to chanting, Teisho and Dokusan. Participants who bring food are requested to be sure it is vegetarian.
In further business, the board noted that we have two more years on our lease and I took an informal poll of the board members who were there and they were all willing to continue to serve. I am grateful for their support, as well as the support of everyone in our Sangha, and I hope to see you this Sunday. We will be holding a Yard Work Day with Justin on October 23rd 9am.
With gassho,
Jeff
