Weekly Update for August 8th
I hope this note finds you well and enjoying the summer. The zen center board met this past Sunday and I want to share some highlights:
* First and foremost, the board offered unanimous kudos to Garry Potts, who is our Webmaster, for the incredibly fine work he is doing on the updating and re-designing of our social media platforms. We are deeply appreciative of his Herculean efforts on our behalf.
* Second, the board voted unanimously to move ahead with plans for the already announced three-day sesshin Sept. 23-26 and, if Roshi is unable to join us in person, we will strive to arrange his presence with us online.
* Third, we are trying to follow the most recent CDC advice regarding masking (in light of the Delta Variant) and so we encourage everyone to wear a mask inside whether vaccinated or not.
* Finally, just a reminder that we are planning an All-Day sit on Saturday, August 21.
And as this Sunday is the second Sunday of the month , we will be having a dharma talk during the second round of sitting. Daisan (private meeting to discuss practice) will be available during the third round if requested.
